Industrial Sales Representative

Job Description:

Automation Techniques has experienced exceptional growth and is expanding with two new openings for sales professionals exhibiting the right mix of personality, can-do attitude, and technical ability.  Our core business unit includes fluid power sales with an emphasis on vane and piston pumps, power units, and industrial automation for the plastic injection business.  A background in industrial automation and/or fluid power along with proven sales experience will be given our highest consideration.

Primary duties include:

• Develop long-term sales relationships using your existing contacts and new prospects.
• Maintain accurate electronic records utilizing our CRM system.
• Meet with customer and clients at all levels of operations including shop and maintenance supervisors, tooling managers, engineers, and buyers.
• Identify opportunities for new automation as well as break-and-fix repairs
• Communicate with vendors for typical applications and creative solutions to industrial automation challenges and opportunities.
• Expand technical knowledge and sales skills through ongoing training.
• Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual unit and revenue goals.

Experience / Education:

• 2 or more years of direct sales experience, with a proven record of exceptional sales performance including creative technical solutions.
• 3 or more solid employment references from relevant sources.

Requirements:

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proven track record of building a funnel of opportunities through cold-calling, networking, and prospecting related activities.
• An attitude and personality others would describe as self-motivated, driven, competitive, and persistent.
• An ability to navigate gate-keepers, utilize your skills to overcome objections, connect to contacts, and keep the sales process moving forward.
